Winter has a way of slowing things down, sometimes more than we expect.
Almost three weeks ago, the furnace that heats the main floor of our home stopped working. It’s certainly been inconvenient, but we are incredibly grateful that the repair is covered under our system’s warranty. We also have separate heating units for the upstairs and downstairs living areas, so we can stay home and stay warm while we wait.
Our HVAC team ordered the needed part right away. It was expected last week… but never arrived. A replacement was ordered and set to ship last Friday, just in time for what many of us are affectionately calling the “snowpocalypse.” With winter weather disrupting shipping routes across the region, we are preparing for the possibility of further delays.
So how does this connect to Pink Pearl?
Our cozy yarn dyeing studio is in the basement, and that space doesn’t have heat. Cold temperatures make it impossible to dye safely and consistently, which means the Winter Hymn yarn collection releases will be delayed until our heat is restored.
As soon as we are warm again downstairs, we’ll be right back at the dye pots and soaking baths, bringing these music-inspired colors to life.

The music is not delayed.
The single of the week from Winter Hymn will continue to be released every Friday as planned, and the full album — including a bonus track — will be released on February 20th.
