The Weaver’s Light is a hand-painted yarn created as part of the Advent collection — a colorway shaped by waiting, wonder, and the quiet glow that grows brighter through faithful attention. This colorway is available on two coordinating merino wool bases, each painted by hand using the same palette and process. While the colors are shared across both bases, the fiber itself responds differently, creating two distinct expressions of the same story.

🧶 Available Bases

DK Weight — Superwash Merino Wool
The DK base takes color quickly and brightly, resulting in more vivid saturation and crisp definition. The superwash treatment offers durability and ease of care, making this option well suited for garments and projects that will be worn often.

Fingering Weight — Non-Superwash Merino Wool
The fingering base absorbs color more softly, producing gentle transitions and a slightly more muted, luminous effect. As a non-superwash wool, this base blooms beautifully after washing and offers a traditional wool feel ideal for heirloom pieces, shawls, and

slow stitching.

🎨 Hand-Painted Variation & Dye Lots

Because The Weaver’s Light is painted entirely by hand, each skein passes through many careful touches during the dyeing process. This creates beautiful depth and movement, but also results in more variation between dye lots than a kettle-dyed yarn.

To support cohesive projects, we pair and ship skeins that are closest in tone and balance whenever possible. For larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins every few rows to blend subtle variations naturally.

The same colors are painted on both bases, allowing the DK and fingering weights to coordinate seamlessly within the Advent collection while still honoring the unique character of each fiber.
