What We’re Creating Now

Pink Pearl Yarns is an active 501(c)(3) nonprofit creative studio rooted in fiber arts, storytelling, music, and care. Throughout the year, we create story-centered projects designed to offer warmth, encouragement, and hope through handmade work and share reflection. This page highlights the projects we are actively creating and sharing in this season.

Winter Hymn

Music – Fiber – Reflection

Winter Hymn is a musical and fiber-based project created to accompany the quieter months of winter. At its heart is a collection of original music, written as a series of reflections on stillness, waiting, and hope.

Alongside the music, Winter Hymn also inspires a coordinating yarn collection, extending the themes of the songs into color and fiber. While the yarn is not the primary focus of this project, it offers another way to engage the season through making.

Ways to engage Winter Hymn:

  • Listen to the music as a reflective winter companion
  • Experience the project as a creative practice alongside knitting or crochet
  • Follow along through shared stories and seasonal reflections

This project emphasizes listening, presence, and gentle creativity rather than consumption.

Via Cordis (In Development)

Story – Devotion – Lenten Journey

Via Cordis — The Way of the Heart — is an upcoming Lenten project currently in development. The devotional story has been drafted and is in the editing stage, with plans to be released in both print and audio formats.

Like The Weaver’s Light, Via Cordis will be available:

  • As a printed devotional storybook
  • As a free listening experience through the Pink Pearl Podcast

This project is being shaped as a companion for the season of Lent, offering a reflective journey rooted in story, prayer, and intentional presence.

Ongoing Creative Work

In addition to seasonal projects, Pink Pearl Yarns continues to:

  • Hand-dye natural-fiber yarns in small batches in Lynchburg, Virginia
  • Create story-centered collections that encourage warmth and accessibility
  • Support creativity as a life-giving, hope-filled practice

Our work changes with the seasons, but our purpose remains the same: to create spaces where making, listening, and reflection can meet.

Ways to Engage

There are many ways to create alongside Pink Pearl:

  • Learn more about our mission and why we exist as a nonprofit
  • Listen to music and stories
  • Support creativity as a life-giving, hope-filled practice

Our work changes with the seasons, but our purpose remains the same: to create spaces where making, listening, and reflection can meet.

Previous Projects

The Weaver’s Light

Story – Fiber – Advent

The Weaver’s Light is a story-centered Advent project that weaves together hand-dyed yarn and a companion novella. Designed to be experienced slowly through the season of Advent, this project invites participants to reflect, create, and wait with hope as light unfolds day by day.

The Weaver’s Light includes:

  • Story-driven Advent yarn collections
  • A companion storybook in paperback and hardcover
  • Opportunities to engage Advent through making, listening, and reflection

This project reflects our belief that storytelling and handcraft can support spiritual formation, rest, and renewal during the winter season.

This page is updated as projects unfold throughout the year.
